Art and culture tour through Trentino

Not far from the Dolomites and the numerous lakes of the region lies Trento, a city of art strongly influenced by Renaissance style. The city hosts an array of artistic and historical treasures: the Tridentino, an underground archaeological site dating back to the Roman times, the Dome with the early Christian basilica and the Renaissance palaces.

Departing from Trento we head to Rovereto, the first town one encounter when driving from South Tyrol to Trentino, full in history and tradition. Already in the 18th century the town was dubbed as „small Athens of Trentino“.

After visiting the historic centre take a look at the monastery of St. Colombano, a pilgrimage destination built in the first decades of the millennium, and the Bell of Peace, which was cast in 1924 using bronze from the cannons of eighteen countries.
