Grado and its Lagoon

Grado boasts the most impressive lagoon of the Adriatic sea. The over 25 km long coastline covers an area of 12.000 hectares with a maze of narrow channels. A unique natural setting with barely the touch of human hand and home to a variety of marine birds that nest or stop here during migration. Grado, a seaside and spa resort, has become an increasingly popular tourist destination not least owing to its beautiful historic centre.

We take you on a guided tour along the narrow streets of the centre and stop off in a restaurant serving fish specialties, a main feature of local cuisine. In the afternoon you enjoy a boat tour to Barbana Island, one of the largest islands of Grado lagoon.
