“Those unfamiliar with Pistoia have no idea of the great art treasures hidden here”, so wrote a traveller at the end of the 19th century. The same amazement awaits those who stroll through the streets and squares of the city not only for its worldwide renowned works of art but also for the particular atmosphere in which it is set.
The nearby Collodi (Collodi was also used as a pseudonym by Carlo Lorenzetti, the writer of “Pinocchio” novel) is worth a visit for both children and adults.

The sightseeing tour features:
The garden of Villa Garzoni, a magnificent eighteenth-century baroque garden with statues and creative water games, which still counts among Italy’s most fascinating gardens.
The Pinocchio Park, where you can learn about the adventures of the famous wooden puppet. Also explore the old city with numerous narrow streets, small stairs and steep paths, for a glimpse of its medieval heritage.
Vinci, the village where the Renaissance genius Leonardo da Vinci was born, was built around the castle of counts Guidi and is immersed in a setting of olive trees in Monte Albano. Not far from Vinci, you can visit the modest house where Leonardo da Vinci lived.
