Day 1 – Arrival in Rome and transfer to Hotel. 3 nights on B&B.
Day 2 – Our ancient Rome tour starts off in Piazza Venezia and then takes us from the Capitoline Hill, symbol of Rome’s power, to the Roman Forum and the Colosseum, where gladiatorial combats took place. The tour continues to the Vatican, the smallest country of the world! Visit the Vatican Museums with masterpieces of the Greek art dating back to the I century BC such as the famous Laokoon group or the world-renowned masterpieces of Michelangelo: the Sistine Chapel. Of course you can not miss St. Peter’s Cathedral, Christianity’s biggest and most impressive church, with art works of Michelangelo and Bernini.
Day 3 – Rome has a great number of fountains and squares. Our tour take you from Piazza della Repubblica with its Naiadi Fountain to Piazza Navona with the Fountain of the Four Rivers by Bernini, from the Quirinale Hill to Piazza del Popolo and its three churches devoted to Maria, from Trevi Fountain, Rome´s most renowned one, to the famous Spanish Steps with its “Barcaccia” (Fountain of the “ugly Boat”). Last but not least Piazza Bocca della Verita, the famous mouth of truth. Afternoon at disposal to enjoy the eternal city.
Day 4 – After breakfast wave goodbye to Rome and proceed to Florence. Time goes by, yet Florence remains one of the most important cities of art in the world. Dante, Giotto, Botticelli, Leonardo, Brunelleschi, Donatello and the “divine” Michelangelo have left their mark in the streets, the marble, the magnificent palaces and the museums of the town, a legacy of mankind. Everywhere visitors will be in awe of the culture of the “Beautiful”. The elegant shops in the city centre and the popular markets combine with the scenes and panoramas like “A room with a view, the movie”. Check-in at your Hotel.
Day 5 – Today we drive from Florence to Venice through Pisa. A few steps along the medieval city walls, through the colours and the confused din of voices of the multiethnic market… until you will be in awe of a wonder! The most famous square of Italy and maybe of the world takes your breath away: Piazza dei Miracoli is just there for you with the Leaning Tower, the Baptistery, the Cathedral and the Monumental Cemetery. Check-in at your Hotel in Venice for 2 nights on B&B.
Day 6 – After breakfast we discover Venice. Fairytale beautiful, suspended between sea and sky, the town of the Doges welcomes its visitors from all over the world. Start your visit in Piazza San Marco, were the most famous venetian church has been build in 829. Continue along the Canal Grande and enjoying the architecture of the Doge’s Palace and the Bridge of Sighs. In the afternoon enjoy a half day boat-trip to Murano and Burano. Murano, worldwide renowned for its glass manufacturing industry, is the largest island near Venice, instead Burano is an old fishing port with picturesque houses, famous thanks to its lace making school.
Day 7 – After breakfast departure for Milan. Despite being a modern city and one of the most important world economics centres, Milan is rich in magnificent arts treasures. The Dome Square, the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with its elegant shops and cafes and the renowned Teatro La Scala represent a popular meeting point. Visit the imposing Dome decorated in Gothic style with thousands of marble statues and spires and the golden “Madonnina” at the top. Today, Milan is renowned worldwide for the fashion designers… so do not miss some time to shop! Check-in in Hotel.
Day 8 – After breakfast transfer to airport Milan for departure. Arrivederci Italia!
