The first stop will be in Rome to enjoy the famous amatriciana pasta and the artichokes, then we continue to Naples for the real pizza and delicious seafood dishes. After a short sea cruise we land in Palermo, where we start a culinary tour of Sicily, visiting places of great charm and gastronomic tradition: Palermo, Cefalù, Mount Etna, Catania and the lively Taormina… a deliciously unique journey!

Day 1 – Rome Arrival in Rome and hotel accommodation in the Roman Castles area. Dinner and overnight
Day 2 – Rome After breakfast, guided tour of Rome, which has always been known as the “Eternal City”: Piazza Venezia, the Capitol, symbol of Roman power, the Imperial Forums, the Pantheon and the Colosseum, where the gladiatorial combats took place. Dinner will be in the Frascati area in a typical Roman trattoria, where the best Amatriciana pasta is waiting for you!
Day 3 – Naples After breakfast departure for Naples, where you will also visit the historical center and Via San Gregorio Armeno, known as Naples Christmas Alley. Here you’ll find the famous presepi , handcrafted Neapolitan Nativity scenes. Accommodation at the hotel. At dinner you’ll be surprised by the Neapolitan seafood dishes and as dessert by the delicious sfogliatelle. Overnight.
Day 4 – Pompeii – Naples After breakfast we start a guided tour of Pompeii, famous around the world for its archaeological excavations. This ancient Roman town was buried under 4 to 6 meters of volcanic ash in the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in AD 79. For lunch you will taste the famous Neapolitan pizza. Departure by ferry, overnight on board (meals not included).
Day 5 – Palermo Arrival in Palermo in the morning. Your guide will show you the hidden corners and the stunning beauty of the Sicilian capital. During this interesting tour of Palermo you will taste the real street food with arancini (stuffed rice balls) and panelle (fritters) just like the locals do. Accommodation in hotel, dinner and overnight.
Day 6 – Cefalù – Giardini NaxosAfter breakfast, depart to Cefalù, a lovely sea village whose origins probably date back to the fourth century BC. Continue to Castelbuono for lunch in an exclusive location. In the afternoon you reach the Giardini Naxos area. Accommodation in hotel, dinner and overnight.
Day 7 – Mount Etna and its flavorsBreakfast. Departure for an excursion to Mount Etna, which with its 3340m is Europe’s highest and largest active volcano. We will drive up from the southern side up to the Rifugio Sapienza at 1926 m. From there we start a pleasant walk through the spectacular lunar landscape of the Crateri Silvestri, originated from an eruption in 1892. Today you will have the opportunity to taste various local products such as honey, wine and much more at an agriturismo at the foot of Mount Etna and in a renowned winery.
Day 8 – Catania – TaorminaBreakfast. Guided tour of Catania, amazing baroque town whose cultural heritage is combined with a wonderful geographical position between Mount Etna and the crystal clear Ionian coast. In the afternoon we go to Taormina: after a nice walk in the picturesque alleys you will enjoy an aperitif in a unique location, on a terrace with stunning sea view. Return to the hotel, dinner with Sicilian specialties and overnight.
Day 9 – After breakfast, it´s time to start our return journey. It’s also possible to leave by ferry from Palermo, to Naples or Genoa (ferry is not included in the package).
